Certification of Modern Harmony

Prerequisite for the degree of Modern Harmony is knowledge of the C theory of music.

The student learns to harmonize (use chords) in a given melody, to write melodies in a series of given chords and to be able to justify each note if and why it sounds “correct” in the desired style. The material of the specialized harmony is common with the A year of modern harmony. The student receives a bachelor’s degree certification after completing the required material and completing the compulsory courses.

Compulsory courses: Solfege, history, morphology-analysis, number bass, compulsory piano, choir, practical training.

Study duration:

• 3 years
• 2 years with knowledge of 1st Harmony after state exams
