Stefanos Sekeroglou was born in Serres. He started playing the violin at the conservatory of the Association of Friends of Letters and Arts and at the Music School of Serres. He continued his studies at the Department of Music Science and Art of University of Macedonia and at the National Conservatory of Thessaloniki, in the class of Professor Dimitris Chandrakis, where he graduated in 2008 with “Excellent” in both institutions. After finishing his studies in Greece, he was admitted to the “Royal Conservatory Den Haag” (Netherlands) in the class of Professor Theodora Geraets, graduating with “DIPLOMA” in 2011. He has collaborated as Soloist with the Symphonic Orchestra of the Municipality of Thessaloniki and with the Symphonic Orchestra of the Department of Music Science and Art (PA.MAK), as well as has performed recitals and chamber music concerts in Greece, Belgium, the Netherlands, Austria and Spain. In 2005he won the first performance award in the “Competition of composition and interpretation of chamber music works” of the department of Music Science and Art and Music Studies of the Ionian University. After finishing his studies he started working as a violin teacher in music schools and conservatories.
He has attended seminars with teachers: Zakhar Brohn, Misha Nodelman, Kees Hulsmann, Rudolf Koelman, Philippe Graffin, Ilya Grubert Roland and Almita Vamos JanetKrause, George Hamman, Rodion Zamuruev, Georgios Demertzis, Christos and Dimitris Poly. Finally, he is a member of the music groups “Nuit de l‘art ” , “Tangology“, ” Markab Trio“, “Duo Methi“, “Sunflower”.
