The traditional singing from the remote villages of Evros and the coasts of Asia Minor to the Greek islands and the mountainous parts of Greece has a common feature and this is the “weapon” of expressing emotions in its simplest and truest form. Traditional singing lessons through special exercises of technique, placement and handling of the voice enable the student to achieve the best performance of traditional music of any place throughout Greece. Through learning the turnings, the musical intervals and the sounds of the traditional song, the student manages to give his voice confidence, volume, clarity and cultivates his personal vocal color.
