Teaching music theory in the western system is a compulsory subject for all students. The program of our music school includes: general knowledge of music and sound, terminology, basics for reading a score (notes, time values, etc.), intervals, scales and chords. Along with the theory lesson the student attends solfege and dictee lessons. Solfege teaches theory lessons in practice. The student learns to read and recognize that he has learned in theory with melodic and rhythmic songs as well as recording them on the stave.
The main goal of the course is for the young musician to solve issues related to the understanding of the score and the elements of the music so that he can perform a musical text to the best of his abilities. It is also important that during the instrument lesson, he does not need to procrastinate for the comprehension of the text by his teacher since this is done by the professor of theory.
