Orthophony has to do with the correct and clear articulation and utterance of speech. More specifically, we are trained in the correct pronunciation of the sounds of the language, in the correct inanition of the words as well as in the appropriate emphasis and “coloring” of the phrases. Unlike phonetics, where we learn to sing vowels correctly, in orthophony we learn how to pronounce correctly and how to solve problems aiming at the basis of the correct pronunciation of speech.
