Byzantine music is the vocal ecclesiastical music of the eastern (later orthodox) Christian church in Greek. Some of the fields of teaching of Byzantine music are the introduction to the theory and practice of Byzantine Music, the elements of Hymnology, theoretical and practical exercise on the Liturgical Act concerning the analogy, choral technique etc.
The aim of the students is their participation in the lectern (as a dance or chanters in temples) which takes place during their studies.
Study duration:
- 5 years for a degree and 6 for a diploma
