Jazz is a type of music with high demands on craftsmanship and improvisation. The jazz piano can be played just as much as a solo, but also as an accompanying instrument. During the piano jazz lessons the student (either beginner or advanced) learns improvisation techniques, rhythmic education-groove, jazz vocabulary, harmonious concepts of Jazz music as well as pieces of the jazz repertoire such as Blues, Swing, Bebop, Modal etc. In combination with the Jazz Harmony offered as a course at the AMS school, the student has a global and complete learning of Jazz music.
