The clarinet goes back many thousands of years, historical sources even state that the word clarinet is a corruption of the ancient Greek word cane. Its current form was perfected around the 18th century. The clarinet is inextricably linked to Greek folk music and is found in all lengths and breadths of our country from mainland to island Greece. During clarinet lessons the student learns correct posture, correct breathing, tone production, acoustic precision, rhythm, phrasing, as well as musical idioms of each playing genre.
