Manolis Bassis was born in 1986 and started playing the bouzouki at the age of 10.5. He had teachers 2 of the most important bouzouki organ players, Vangelis Liolios and Pavlos Pafranidis. At the age of 19 he started his professional career in the orchestra of Petros Gaitanos in which he is still plays today.
He was fortunate enough to collaborate with many remarkable performers and musicians in musical performances in Greece and abroad such as: Lena Alkaiou, Filippos Nikolaou, Michalis Violaris, Babis Tsertos, Konstantina, Evi Siamanta, Stathis Pachidis, Panos Amanteralis, Giore Michalis Papazisis, Lizeta Nikolaou, Evangelia Moumouri, Paschalis Tsaroucha, Kostas Karafotis, Elpida, Giovanna, Alexandros Kapsokavadis, Kostas Meretakis, Nikos Psofogiorgos, Kostas Matsigos, Grigoris Simadopoulos and others.
He has also participated in several record productions, the most important of which are by Filippos Grapsas and Michalis Bourboulis.
Since 2009 he has also been teaching bouzouki to students of all levels and in recent years he has also been creating his own songs.
